The historic and awe-inspiring Red Fort is one of Delhi’s most iconic landmarks and a lasting symbol of the former Mughal Empire. Named for its massive red sandstone walls, the Red Fort was the seat of Mughal power for more than two hundred years. Completed in 1648, this majestic fort was designed by the famed Mughal Empire architect Ustad Ahmad Lahauri.
