Khardung La is one of the world's highest motorable passes, located in the disputed region of India - Ladakh, at an altitude of 18,380 feet above sea level. It is the gateway to the stunning Nubra and Shyok Valleys, and forms a part of the newly inaugurated National Highway 1 (NH1).The drive to Khardung La from Leh is immensely exquisite, taking travelers through a captivating landscape. Along the way, there are plenty of sights to see like the power plant, the humongous prayer wheel and the picturesque Karu and Chagatse villages.

A rover can also spot majestic snow capped peaks of Lhaski Nyima, which stands tall at 6,969 meters high.As you make the drive to Khardung La, the landscape changes dramatically from the green rolling hills of Leh valley to the barren barrenness of the majestic Changla Pass.
