Punakha Dzong, known as Pungtang Dewe Rabi Kots, is one of Bhutan's most iconic and renowned landmarks. Situated at an elevation of 1,200m, the second-largest fortress of Bhutan is situated between the rivers Mo Chhu and Pho Chhu, with the spectacular Himalayan mountain range in the background.
