It also has more than 140 species of birds, 39 species of mammals, and 11 species of amphibians.Eravikulam National Park is a part of the Indian Elephant corridor and is a hotspot for trekking and hiking routes. Visitors can embark on the many trails that course through the park and experience the unspoiled beauty of the region. Trekking routes lead to some of the highest peaks and deepest gorges of Kerala. Other popular activities in the park include wildlife viewing and birding.The main attractions of the park are the rolling grasslands of the Rajamala Mountain Range and the Anamudi Peak, which at a height of almost 2,650 metres above sea level, is the highest peak south of the Himalayas.
