The Trinetra Ganesha Temple in Ranthambore, Rajasthan, is an ancient pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed Hindu God. It is renowned for its unique three-eyed idol of Lord Ganesha, the only one of its kind in India.

The central idol of Lord Ganesha has three eyes. As per the ancient legends, Lord Ganesha acquired this extra eye to save himself from an attack by the powerful demon Bhasmasura.Surrounded by the majestic Aravalli Hills, this temple is located close to the ruins of the majestic Ranthambore Fort. Richly adorned with luxurious carvings and detailed sculptures, this temple depicts the ancient architecture of Rajasthan. A holy pond is located adjacent to the temple, which makes the temple premises beautiful and divine. Devotees take a dip in the pond for purification before visiting the temple.The main deity at the temple is Lord Ganesha and his principal form here is Trunked Ganesha or Eka Danta Ganesha, which is a symbol of prosperity. Along with the main deity, the idols of other Gods and Goddesses, such as Durga, Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, Saraswati, and Laxmi, are also enshrined in the temple’s premises. There are also some images of the Sun god Surya and the Moon god Chandra.Tens of thousands of devotees throng the temple every year during the peak Ganesh Chaturthi festival. During the festival, the temple sees a large number of pilgrims from all over the country. It is believed that the temple premises are blessed with divine powers and that no wish remains unfulfilled once granted by Lord Ganesha.
