Akshardham Temple, Delhi, is a stunningly beautiful Hindu temple complex that took over 11,000 artisans more than two years to create.
Inaugurated in 2005, it is a tribute to India’s cultural and spiritual heritage. Its opulent design showcases a perfect blend of ancient Indian architecture, sculptures, and carvings along with landscaped gardens, water fountains, and even a breathtaking musical fountain show. The mandir itself is made from majestic pink sandstone and white marble and is 168 feet high with a cupola that stands 234 feet tall. The whole experience is further enhanced with the famous Akshardham Musical Fountain Show—which synchronizes hundreds of dancing water jets with light projections, lasers, and soulful devotional music—illustrating stories from the great Indian epics.
